Charles Edens Obituary

Charles W. Edens, 64 of Magnolia passed away on Tuesday Jan. 24, 2012 after a long illness at his residence. He was born on Dec. 19, 1947 in Spring Valley to Charles B. and Dorothy (Lightner) Edens. He graduated from Magnolia Swaney High School in 1965. He worked at W.R. Grace Fertilizer and was a wood crafter. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of Magnolia American Legion Post __. Survivors are one son, William Edens of Aurora; three brothers, Darnell (Sandy) Edens of McNabb, Dale (Terri) Edens of Secor and Bryan (Terri) Edens of Granville; three sisters, Sandy (Chuck) Miller of Magnolia, Carolyn (John) McKean of Greenville, SC and Jeanette (Brian) Lord of rural Varna. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Julia. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to his family.

Service/Memorial Information

Graveside service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia. There will be military rites.
