Corinne Eckerd

Corinne Eckerd, 94 of Mark passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Cabin Livin, Hennepin.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.  Prayers will be at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Fr. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Granville.

Corinne was born on September 22, 1924 in Mark to Joe and Tenerifa (Scaglioni) Zagnoni.  She married Edwin E. Eckerd on February 10, 1945 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville.

She graduated from Hopkins High School in the class of 1943.  Corinne was a cook at the high school.  Then became secretary for Hopkins High School and Putnam County High School. 

Corinne was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society.  She and her husband loved to travel and enjoyed staying in Arizona.  They especially loved their trip to Italy.  She enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include one sister, Alba (Bill) Ellena of Granville; one sister-in-law, Lowana Friar of Schaumberg, IL; one brother-in-law, James Lettsome of Oak Brook, IL and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin died on January 18, 2011; five sisters, Cleofa Guisti, Mary McCarty, Ann Poggioli, Iva Faletti and Frances Bazzani.
