Darrell L. Jegglie

Darrell L. Jegglie, 75, of Hennepin, IL passed away Friday, May 18, 2012, at Perry Memorial Hospital. He was born June 14, 1936 the son of Russell and Jenneive (Seibert) Jegglie. He was raised in Depue and married Nancy Slimko on Sept. 3, 1955. Darrell was a Boilermaker for 35 years for Union Local 60 out of Morton, IL. When not at work he also restored numerous Classic Ford Mustangs, rebuilt engines and customized and repaired boats. He was also an avid gardener, fisherman, and hunter. Survivors are one son, Darrell Jegglie Jr. of Hennepin; three daughters, Denise (Dave) Pratt of Garland, TX; Robin (Mike) Burgess of Granville, IL and Janeen (Bill) Mennie of Granville. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Jegglie in 2007, his son Aaron Jegglie in 2010, both parents and one brother. Pallbearers will be Mike Burgess, Jerry Jegglie, Bill Mennie, Craig Kettman, Steve Peterson, Justin Albrecht and Conner Kettman. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Kettman. In lieu of flowers donations may be directed to his family.

Service/Memorial Information

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville. Rev. Karen Karczewski officiating. Burial will be in the Granville Cemetery. Visitation will be in the chapel on Wednesday from noon till 2.
