Frances Storm Obituary

Frances E. Storm, 81 of Tonica, died Monday, February 6, 2012 in Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru. Mrs. Storm was born August 31, 1930 in Peru, IL, The daughter of Frank K. and Anna E. Sanwald Powell. She married Dale Storm on Aug. 27, 1950 in McNabb and was a homemaker and avid baseball and basketball supporter for her children and grandchildren. Frances and her husband farmed for over 55 years. He passed away on Aug. 14, 2006. She was a graduate of Swaney High School and attended LPO junior college (currently IVCC). In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Survivors include one daughter, Yvonne (Tom) Weier of Janesville, Wisc.; one son, Howard (Vicki) Storm of Tonica; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Kevin and Bret; and two great-grandchildren, Jason and Justin. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a grandson Bryan. Pallbearers will be Tom Weier, Bret Storm, Kevin Weier, Kim Koehn, Jeff Koehn, Jason Koehn, Justin Koehn, Sara Weier, James Derix and Ken Zimmerman.

Service/Memorial Information

Services will be private with no visitation. Burial will be in the Hoyle Cemetery in McNabb. The Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville is assisting the family with arrangements.
