Joseph Frank Hertz, 69, of Hennepin died, Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Joseph was born on June 4, 1943 in Bronx, NY, the son of Joseph and Agnes (Beaton) Hertz. He married Lavern Graf. He served in the U.S. Army and worked in the maintenance department at Naperville Central High School. He had been a supervisor in the boy scouts organization. Survivors include his wife Lavern, sons, Douglas Hertz and David Hertz of Hennepin, IL and Joseph Hertz of New York. Daughters, Elizabeth (her fiancé Brad Burkhart) Hertz of Mendota, IL and Karen Hertz of New York. Sisters, Margaret Schaft of New York and Carol (Pete) Mann of New York. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by her parents. Contributions may be directed to donor's choice.

Service/Memorial Information

Joe's request was to have his body donated to science. Services will be at a later date. Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
