Marjorie Anna Marcacci

Marjorie Anna Marcacci, 91, of Granville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at Heartland Healthcare Center in Henry. Marge was born Feb. 27, 1921 in Standard, the daughter of Albert and Agnes (Gordon) Bean. She graduated Standard Grade School and Hopkins Township High School, class of 1938, and was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated gold cord. She married James W. Marcacci on Dec. 18, 1943, She helped in the business of Marcacci's Sundries for ten years and also retired from Moews Seed Company after 23 years. Surviving are two sons, Robert (Linda) Marcacci of Victoria, IL and Jon (Donna) Marcacci of Dunlap, IL. A sister-in-law, Linda Bean of Granville. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, her husband in 1995, one son Jimmy, and two brothers Albert and Robert Bean. Marge was a member of the United Church of Christ in Granville and the Womens Fellowship of that church. Marge's family would like express their gratitude to the special people at Heartland Healthcare Center in Henry and Harbor Light Hospice for the wonderful care they provided Marge for the past 4 months. Memorials may be directed to Putnam County Achievement Center in Standard, the American Heart Association, or the Donors Choice.

Service/Memorial Information

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville and on Saturday at the United Church of Christ one hour before services. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Granville. Rev. Ron McNeill will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Granville Cemetery.
