Adam Passini Jr., 87, of rural Hennepin passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Liberty Village-Manor Court in Princeton with his loving family by his side.
Private services will be held at Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.
Adam was born on October 9, 1938 in Spring Valley to Adam and Alvera (Bonucchi) Passini Sr. He married Darlene Dowling on January 30, 1960 in Chicago.
Adam loved farming and has farmed his whole life. He was a patrolman for Hennepin Police Department and he was also a patrolman for Granville Police Department for 27 years.
He was a former member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and a member of Ducks Unlimited, NRA, Whitetails Unlimited and Pheasant’s Forever. He served on the Putnam County Board for many years and was past chairman.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Passini of Hennepin; two sons, Adam (Edith) Passini III and Gregory (Wanda) Passini; three daughters, Donna (Mark) Nieslawski, Patricia (James) Shaw and Linda Buffington; one brother, Robert (Marsha) Passini; eight grandchildren, Nick Passini, Tony (Amanda) Passini, Jeffrey (Rachel) Nieslawski, Abigail (Cody) Behrens, Amanda (Matt) Ridge, Emily Nadler, Sydney Buffington and Jack Buffington and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rita and grandson Adam Passini IV.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Putnam County Community Center in Standard.
