Arthur "Tuto" Vaini, 86 of Granville, passed away on Monday. August 13, 2012 at his residence in Granville. He was born on October 24, 1925 in Mark to Frank and Anna (Ghibellini) Vaini. He married Eileen Shevokas on April 19, 1947 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville. He farmed for 52 years. He worked for the State of Illinois Highway Dept. for 12 years and he worked for the railroad. He was a member of the Marshall - Putnam County Farm Bureau. Survivors include one son, Art D. Vaini of Mark; one daughter, Linda Hash of Granville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Vignali of Princeton. He was preceded in death by his wife, three brothers, Lawrence, Raymond and Albert. Pallbearers will be Jacob Taylor, Art Ramey, Frank Taylor, Harold Maulfair, Justin Hash and Mike Vaini. Contributions may be directed to donor's choice.
Service/Memorial Information
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. Rev. Karen Karczewski will officiate the service. Burial will be in Granville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.
