Barbara A. Mayhew, 57, of Depue passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Barb was born on August 16, 1955 in Aledo, IL, the daughter of John A. and Darlene (Kimball) Mayhew. She married David Drazkowski. She grew up in Aledo and graduated from Aledo High School class of 1973. Barb had many different jobs throughout her life, but the one she loved most was working for the Times Record as a reporter and writer of Barb's babblings. Barb had a vibrant personality and a zest for life that was contagious to those around her. Her laughter, radiant smile and memory will remain in the hearts of all who loved her. Survivors include her husband, David Drazkowski; her daughter, Becki Williams; her beloved grandchildren, Madison Williams and Carson Clawson; her mother Darlene Mayhew; her siblings, Gary (Sharon) Mayhew, Judy (Pete) Peterson , Darryl (Sally) Mayhew, Nancy Rumler and Tom (Pam) Mayhew; as well as her many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, John A. Mayhew and her grandparents. Barb has donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, April 21 at The Depot in Aledo from 2 to 4 p.m. with a memorial service at 3 p.m.
