Betty J. Cimei, 84, of McNabb, IL, passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 in Heartland Health Care in Henry. She was born in rural McNabb on August 1, 1929, the daughter of Leonard B. and Pearl (Johnston) King. Betty graduated John Swaney High School and married George Cimei on July 1, 1950 in Macomb, IL. Betty was the first women foreman at Hobbs manufacturing in Spring Valley for 30 yrs. Survivors include her husband George, four sons, John (Kathy) Cimei of McNabb; Tony (Diane) Cimei of McNabb; George (Pam) Cimei of Varna; and Randy (Debbie) Cimei of Williamsfield; one daughter Shelly (Larry) Erjavsek of rural Cedar Point. Also surviving are Jeff (Connie) King of Granville and Tim (Michele) King of LaSalle. Also a brother Jim (Gladys) King, and sisters Phyllis Bade, Alley Parks, Melody Kinkade, Patty (David) Edwards and Debbie (David) Campbell. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by 1 sister and 2 brothers. Contributions may be directed to Alzheimer Association.
Service/Memorial Information
Per the family's request, cremation rites were accorded. A Celebration of Life will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Jim Goldasich Memorial Hall, McNabb. Burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Magnolia. The Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
