Betty G. Strader

Betty G. Strader, 75, of Peru passed away on Monday, January 23, 2023 at her residence with her loving family by her side.

There will be a visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.  The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.  Cremation rites have been accorded. 

Betty was born on September 26, 1947 in Spring Valley to John and Nadine (Buchanan) Christini.  She married Richard Lee Strader on December 31, 1969 in Magnolia.

She graduated from high school. Then later attended Northern Illinois University where she received her teaching degree in 1987.  Betty was a special education teacher at Depue High School.

Survivors include her son, Richard (Angie) Strader Jr. of Cedar Point; two step-granddaughters, Kelsy and Lexi and one great-grandchild, Taylynn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, Robin and grandson, Tony.
