Branden Alan Bowers

Branden Alan Bowers, 48, of Hennepin passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 in Granville.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel at 208 S. McCoy St. Granville, IL.  Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. following the visitation.  Military honors will conducted.  Inurnment will be at Camp Butler Cemetery in Springfield, IL at a later date.

Branden was born on December 1, 1974 in Princeton to Gregory and Deborah (Holmes) Bowers.  Branden’s father married Gail Netznik in 1979.  She adopted Branden and became his mother.

Branden was a 1993 graduate of East Peoria Community High School.  He proudly served honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1996 – 2000.  Branden has been employed by DPS Equipment Services for many years.

Branden was a great presence in this world, friend to many, always willing to lend a helping hand and he will be very much missed.  He had an affinity for animals and always had pets.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on vehicles.  He was a devoted music fan, especially country and rock.  But his greatest joy was his son Brody.  They shared a bond that will never be broken.

Branden is survived by his son, Brody Bowers of Hennepin; brother, Andrew (Alison) Bowers of Crawfordsville, IN; his parents, Gregory (Gail) Bowers of Tiskilwa; his grandmother, M. Elaine Bowers of Princeton; nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Brody Bowers Education Fund for his son’s education at North Central Bank in Hennepin or Ladd at P.O. Box 317 Hennepin, IL 61327.
