Brian "Bird" Morris

Brian “Bird” Morris, 67, of Granville passed away on December 3, 2024 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  A private service for family will be held at a later date.  Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

Brian was born on July 23, 1957 in Spring Valley to David E. and Mary Alice (Paxson) Morris.

He graduated from Putnam County High School.  He served in the United States Marine Corp.

He was employed for many years working on the Illinois and Mississippi rivers.  He became Captain on tug boat.

Brian is survived by his three sons, Tristan, Skyler, and Jody Morris; four brothers, Dave (Sherry) Morris, Mike Morris, Pat Morris and Kevin (Richelle) Morris. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Tim and Steve Morris.
