Calvin E. Baxter

Calvin E. Baxter, 71 of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Princeton, died on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at his residence. Calvin was born on November 20, 1942 in Erie Pennsylvania to Earl and Ruth (Anderson) Baxter. He married Linda Barr on December 30, 1989 in Las Vegas. He worked for LTV Steel for 40 years of which 22 years were at the Hennepin Plant, where he became Plant Manager. He also worked at the Cleveland, Columbus & Indiana Harbor Plants. He was very creative & enjoyed doing plumbing, electrical & carpentry projects with a contemporary design. Survivors are his wife, Linda; four children, Donald (Diane) Baxter of Granville, Laura (Pete) Galvin of Monee, Tonya Frasco of Granville and Kenneth Kmiec of Plainfield; one brother Howard (Kathy) Baxter of Erie, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to American Cancer Association.

Service/Memorial Information

Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. Pastor Karen Karczewski will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.
