David “Dave” J. Giudici, 80, of Granville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the LaSalle Veteran's Home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel 208 S. McCoy St. Granville, IL.
Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. Fr. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Granville with full military honors.
Dave was born on November 19, 1944 in Ottawa, IL to Joseph and Theresa (Andretta) Giudici. He married Donna Copeland on March 31, 1983 in Missouri.
He graduated from Marquette High School and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1963. He served during the Vietnam Theater building a flight base in Thailand. He was a crane man at LTV Steel for 42 years.
Dave was a Vice President of the Red Horse Midnight Chapter of 556 Air Force, Granville American Legion Post #180 and the Knights of Columbus. He was a Ham-radio operator and Morse code, call sign K9LK. He loved playing cards and spending time with his family and the grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Donna (Copeland) Giudici of Granville; one son, Joe Giudici (Julie Lay) of Dayton, OH; one sister, Virginia (James) Burke; daughters-in-law, Julie Giudici, Chris Bartecki and Dianna Skowera, Dave leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Alexa Grant, Ava Bartecki, Jase and Luke Giudici and Pearl Grant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two stepsons, Greg Bartecki and Brian Grant.
