Dolores Johnson

Dolores Johnson, 68 of McNabb, formerly of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully with her family by her side to be with her Heavenly Father on February 3, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Emmaus Lutheran Church in McNabb on Saturday, February 27th at 3 pm for family and friends.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

Dolores was born on May 17, 1952 in Poughkeepsie, New York to Albert and Ann (Kogut) Johnson. 

She received her Masters in Nursing and dedicated her life to her Hospice patients and their families. She was a true advocate for all. When she retired she found her passion in writing. She wanted to take her life experiences and empower others with knowledge regarding end of life care. Her passion was real, and she left a legacy to her family that someday may be published. Her tenacity, love of life, and her profound faith will forever live on through her family.

Survivors include two daughters, Debbie (Michael) Pletsch of McNabb, and Becky (Pete) Coster of Byron Center, Michigan; two brothers, Karl (Linda) Johnson and Warren (Brenda) Johnson; five grandchildren, Amanda (Stephen) McCarty, Austin Pletsch (Kate Wrigley), Allie Pletsch, Kylee Coster and Addyson Hankins; one great-grandchild Aiden McCarty and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Trisha Hankins and one brother, Wayne Johnson.
