Donald "Donny" E Camatti

Donald "Donny" E. Camatti, 77 formerly of Hennepin, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru. Donny was born October 5, 1935 in Hennepin to Louis and Ruth (Wallin) Camatti. He attended Hennepin Grade School and Illinois School for the Blind at Jacksonville, Illinois. He also attended Illinois Valley Community College Literacy Program. Donny was a janitor for Putnam County Courthouse. He also worked part time at Rolando's Supper Club, Hennepin. He was a member of Putnam County Achievement Center (Senior Center) in Standard. Survivors are one brother, Glen Camatti of Oglesby; one sister, Rose Boggio of Hennepin; two special friends, Mary Alice and Bill; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ernie and Clarence. Contributions may be directed to Hennepin United Methodist Church or Putnam County Senior Center.

Service/Memorial Information

Service will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Hennepin United Methodist Church, Hennepin. Pastor Carol Stufflebeam will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Hennepin. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. There will also be a visitation on Thursday, January 31, 2013 from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the church.
