Enis L. Hurt

Enis L. Hurt, 87, of Standard died on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru. Enis was born on November 4, 1927 in Standard to Joseph and Irene (Piccinelli) Mecagni. She married Harry "Jiggs" Hurt. She was a homemaker and her family lovingly referred to her as "Sweet Nonie". Surviving is one daughter Carole (Louis) Sekula of LaSalle; four grandchildren, Rick (Jennifer) Scheri, Tony (Sara) Scheri, Michael (Grace) Scheri, Nina (Josh) Poulaki; one step grandchild, Mark (Michelle) Sekula; eight great-grandchildren, Joe, Grace, Shay, Jack, Henry and Kendall Scheri, Claire and Luke Poulaki; two step great-grandchildren, Samantha and Dylon Sekula. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers, Frank , Geno, Louis and Nildo Mecagni, and two sisters Minnie Guglielmetti and Lena Wallin. Service/Memorial Information

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville. Fr. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Granville. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.
