Freya Belle Rose
July 18, 2021
In the early morn of July 18, 2021, in Peru, Illinois, was born the most delicate of flowers, Freya Belle Rose, into the stratum of the silent seraphim. Beloved and yet, she could not stay, so flew swiftly with angel wings toward the brightest twinkling stars to seek her voice in Heaven. On the gentle whispering winds, her song finds the hearts of those who love her and there, lingers for eternity.
Miss Rose is cherished and survived by her mother, Syerra Rose, and sister, Harper Lee Rose, both of Princeton; grandmother, Amy (Mike Benge) Rose, and aunt, Lillian Rose, of Cherry; great-grandmother, Robin Rose, of Oglesby; great-great-grandmother, Nancy Lee Rose, of Cary; great-aunts, Melissa (Steven) Jensen, of Peru, and Megan (Greg) Hendry, of Cary; and great-uncle, Dan (Mariela) Craig, of Cherry.
A private service was held Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at Miners’ Memorial Cemetery, in Cherry, where Miss Rose was laid to rest. Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville, assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the family.
