George Brent Lawyer

George Brent Lawyer, 68, of Somonauk passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at LaSalle County Nursing Home in Ottawa.

There will be no service at this time.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

George was born on October 17, 1954 in Aurora to Basil George and Doris Lucille (Jacobs) Lawyer. 

He graduated from Serena High School.  George was a maintenance worker at Menards Distribution Center.  He farmed and drove trucks for most of his life.  He had a love of draft horses, especially his pair of mares named Jesse and Jenny.  They gave him great joy.

Survivors include three daughters, Olivia (James) Nanni of Granville, Georgena Lawyer of Michigan and Brandy (Tom) Salz of Leonore; two brothers, Wayne (Judy) Lawyer of Utica and Brad (Annessa) Armour of Sheridan and one granddaughter, Hannah (Dylan) Hutson of Magnolia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Dale Lawyer and one daughter, Rebecca Andrews.
