Gloria E. Morgan, 92, of Hennepin died on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at Liberty Village, Princeton. Gloria was born on October 20, 1921 to Jose' Matos and Esmeralda (Matos Ramos) Rodriquez. She married Jack N. Morgan on October 4, 1958 in San Juan Puerto Rico. She graduate from the University of Puerto Rico and received her masters (Magna Cum Laude). She was a teacher and taught science and math at the Military Academy in Charleston, SC and she was a Spanish teacher in Roosevelt Roads Naval Base in Puerto Rico. Gloria loved flowers, but roses were her favorite flower and she enjoyed planting and taking care of them in her garden. Survivors are her husband. Jack of Hennepin; two daughters, Sandra Morgan (Mike) Raffety of Hennepin, Josie (Lee) Gill of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one step son, Norman Morgan, of Richland, Mississippi; one brother Luis Fernando Matos of Puerto Rico; one sister Josefina Matos of Puerto Rico and three grandchildren, Tiffany, Danielle and Lissette. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, five sisters and one daughter at birth, Shirley Ann Morgan. Contributions may be directed to donor's choice.
Service/Memorial Information
Service will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. Fr. Duane Leclercq will officiate. Burial will be Valley Memorial Cemetery, Spring Valley. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.
