Harold "Harry" Faletti Obituary

Harold “Harry” E. Faletti, 95, of Granville passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 in Heartland Health Care, Henry.

Private Service will be held at United Church of Christ, Granville.  Rev. Dr. Ron McNeill will officiate.  Burial will be in Granville Cemetery with full Military rites. 

Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

Harold was born on October 4, 1925 in Standard to John and Vivian (Taylor) Faletti.  He married Willa Newborn on April 30, 1949 in Spring Valley.

Harold graduated from Hopkins High School. He served in the United States Merchant Marines during World War II.

He was a maintenance man at B.F. Goodrich before he retired.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ in Granville and an active participant of the church’s Mission Team as it’s resident chef.  He was a member of the Granville American Legion Post #180 and the Masonic Lodge #1093 where he was past master and a 50 year member.  He was a member of the Northern Illinois Valley Shrine Club.  Harold also coached all levels of baseball in Granville and volunteered for the Special Olympics.

Survivors include; two sons, Harold Faletti of Boulder, CO and Kevin Faletti of Boulder, CO; one daughter, Cyndy (Gary) Bruch of Magnolia; brother-in-law, Leonard Strowzewski of LaSalle; sister-in-law, Jean Faletti of Granville; two grandchildren, Katie (Erik) Main and Chris Bruch; three great-grandchildren, Miles Main, Emmett Main and Mason Bruch.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, four brothers, Robert Faletti, John Faletti, Ronald Faletti and Tom Faletti; three sisters, Edith Loger, Charlene Strowzewski and Carol Wallin.
