Hilda Julia Borri, 93, of Mark passed away on Friday, November 8, 2013 at her residence. Hilda was born on December 12, 1919 in Mark to Cirillo and Erminia (Fanti) Ricci. She married Hugo Borri on June 29, 1940 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville. She graduated from Hopkins High School in 1937. She worked as Postmaster and Clerk for the United States Post Office. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Alter & Rosary Society and Ladd Moose. Hilda was an avid baker and cook. She loved to invent recipes and "try new things." In 1968 she was a finalist at the Pillsbury Bake-Off in Dallas Texas. This contest would be the first of many that she entered and won in her lifetime. Hilda is survived by two sons, Gary (Rita) Borri of rural McNabb and Randy (Janice) Borri of Salem, Wisconsin; one daughter Susan Borri of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, and seventeen great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hugo, on November 10, 2001, and four sisters, Mary Passini, Nitchie King, Florence Biavati, and Pauli Lynn. Contributions may be directed to St. Margaret's Hospice or the donor's choice. Pallbearers will be Craig Borri, Michael Borri, Ryan Borri, Curtis Borri, Richard Lang, and Brian Farmer.
Service/Memorial Information
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Granville. There will be prayers at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel prior to the service at the church. Fr. Patrick DeMeulemeester and Fr. Duane Leclercq will officiate the service. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Granville. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Dysart Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. There will be an additional visitation on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
