Jon A. Waldschmidt, 55, of Granville passed away on Monday, February 3, 2020 at his residence.

No services are planned at this time. Cremation rites will be accorded.

Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

Jon was born on March 10, 1964 in Spring Valley to Roy and Judy (Kays) Waldschmidt.

He graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School. Jon was a farm hand. He worked at Diversa Forms in Peru for 15 years and he also worked at Putnam County Painting for 10 years. He was also a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include his parents, Roy and Judy Waldschmidt of Granville; one brother, Stan (Amy) Waldschmidt of Green Valley; one sister, Robin (Keith Johnson) Waldschmidt of Lacon and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
