Lucile "Sally" Marie Pletsch, 95, of McNabb passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Henry. Sally was born on June 1, 1917 in Jewel, Iowa to Harold and Ethel (McCord) Fay. She married Robert L. Pletsch on October 14, 1939. She graduated in 1932 from Hopkins High School in Granville. She was a waitress and cook at Swains Restaurant in McNabb and a lifelong Putnam County resident. Sally was also an avid golfer and a member of Edgewood Golf Course. Sally was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church, McNabb City Council from 1990 to 2011, McNabb Park Board from 1990 to 2011, Emmaus Lutheran Church Ladies Aide. Mc Babba charter member, Election Judge for Putnam County, Longtime Volunteer for Putnam County Historical Society, Illinois Valley Quilting Guild and Covered Bridge Quilting Guild. On May 9, 1999 Sally received a lifetime membership in the Western Illinois Area Agency on Aging Gallery of Ageless Achievers. Survivors include one son Lloyd (Karen) Pletsch of Rock Falls; five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, two son-in-laws; Ben Day and Denny Chambers and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert L. Pletsch; two daughters, Patricia Day and Judith Chambers; and two brothers, Earl Fay and Carlton Fay. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to Emmaus Lutheran Church, McNabb. Pallbearers will be Tony Day, Bill Day, A.J. Chambers, Christopher McQuillan, Benjamin Day, and Ryan Day. Honorary pallbearer will be Jennifer Ibarra.

Service/Memorial Information

Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Emmaus Lutheran Church, McNabb. Rev. Ann Ziegert will officiate. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, McNabb. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.
