Mary Ellen Meyer

Mary Ellen Meyer, 61, of rural Granville passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Saint Anthony’s in Rockford.

There will be no service.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mary Ellen was born on March 8, 1962 in Spring Valley to Jim and Florence Meyer. 

She graduated from LaSalle/Peru High School.  Mary Ellen was the senior pharmacy tech. at Walgreen’s.

Mary Ellen was a member of the First Congregational Church in Depue.  She enjoyed numerous pets and had adopted many dogs.  She enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends and she was mom to everyone that knew her.

Survivors include her father Jim Meyer; her boy friend, Bruce Kilter; two sons, Carl Tevis and James Tevis; two daughters, Jessica Tevis and Anna Tevis; two brothers, Dave Meyer and Dale Meyer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Tevis and her mother, in 2019.
