Mildred Noonan Obituary

Mildred “Millie” Noonan, 89 of Spring Valley (formerly of McNabb) passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.

The family will have a private Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Hennepin. Fr. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery in

Odell, Illinois at a future date.

Mildred was born on January 8, 1933 in Walsenburg, Colorado to Victor and Antonia (Rodriquez) Alarid.  She married James P Noonan in 1951.  He preceded her in death on June 27, 2010.

Millie was a homemaker and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Peru Eagles Auxiliary and the Red Hat Ladies Club. She enjoyed golfing at Edgewood Golf course, sewing, baking and crafting. In addition, she did volunteer work at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Spring Valley and Valley Baptist Hospital in Harlingen, Texas.

Survivors include her sons, Pat (Iris) Noonan of Boston Massachusetts, Gary (Cynthia) Noonan of Amboy, Mike (Mary) Noonan of Fort Wayne, Indiana and Dave (Ellen) Noonan of Elk Grove Village, Illinois; one daughter, Sue (Bob) Seifert of McNabb; ten grandchildren, Kevin (Noonan) Anderson, Jen (John) Skillings, Amy (Juan) Miramontes,, Sheryl (Pablo) Man, Laura (Ryan) Failla, Elizabeth (Chris) Lanning, James (Caitlyn) Noonan, Kathryn (Andrew) Eaton, Andrew Noonan and John Noonan; nine great- grandchildren, Makayla Miramontes, Nick, Halli and Quentin Skillings, Sam and Audrey Man, Elanor Failla, Aleah Lanning and Kinley Anderson; one great-great-granddaughter, Jazlyn DiNardi; two sisters, Delores and Juanita.

She was preceded in death by her parents (Victor and Antonia); her husband (James P Noonan); son, (Robert); one daughter in infancy, four sisters and one brother.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Margaret’s Hospice in Spring Valley, IL.
