Noelle Sauter, 55, of Oglesby passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at her home. She lost her 3 year battle to ALS.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel 208 S. McCoy St. Granville, IL.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Tonica United Methodist Church in Tonica. Pastor Phil Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tonica.
Noelle was born on November 29, 1967 in DeKalb to David and Carol (Christensen) Bend. She married David Sauter on March 16, 1990. He passed away on February 3, 2014. She is survived by her parents; son, Michael (Hannah) Sauter; sister, Lisa (Greg) Fleming; nephew Dane (Jessica) Fleming; niece Samantha Fleming; great nephew, Stetson Fleming and brother-in-law, Jim Sauter. Also surviving is her partner, Troy Siemers.
Noelle graduated from Indian Creek High School. She then went to Morrison Institute of Technology and received a bachelor’s degree in technology. She also worked at IDOT in Ottawa.
Noelle farmed alongside her husband and son. Her love of genealogy took her all across the states and Europe. Her passion for crafting and quilting gave her many long time friendships. Noelle was active in the community, a member of the Illini Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Tonica United Methodist Church. She loved traveling with family and friends. She was loved by many and will be truly missed.
Pallbearers will be Dane Fleming, Phil Sims, Nathan Rogers, Casey McAlpine, Brandon Keller, Seth Dauber and Trent Pierson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave; her in-laws, Carl and Carol Sauter; her maternal grandparents, Carl and Gladys Christensen and her paternal grandparents, Harold and Emma Bend.
