Paul “Gil” Gilbert Hartnett, 63, of Granville passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at his residence.
There are no services planned at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded. Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
Paul “Gil” Hartnett, was born on September 4, 1961 in Libertyville, IL to Paul E. and Shirley A. (Orth) Hartnett.
He was a carpenter and worked construction. Gil previously worked as a chef at the Clover Club in Mark. He loved the Chicago Bears and cooking. He enjoyed photography and taking pictures of landscapes.
Survivors include his son, Dylan Hartnett; five sisters, Peggy (Matt) Wojcik, Kay (Robert) Redshaw, Jennifer (Andy) Ajster, Mary (the late Alan) Finkbone and Ann Hartnett. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rhonda Hartnett; brothers, Stephen, Richard and Thomas Hartnett and sister-in-law, Mary Hartnett.
