Peggy Pavlick Obituary

Peggy Pavlick

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Friend

Peggy Pavlick, 81, of Oglesby passed away peacefully at home on Friday, August 1, 2025, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply.

She was born on August 5, 1943 in Streator, IL to Wayne E. and Shirley (Shepard) Reynolds.

Peggy was a retired manager in food service.  She loved cooking for and spending time with her family. She enjoyed playing cards,  Euchre being her favorite.  She also enjoyed crafting.

Peggy was known for her warm heart, kind spirit, and the unmistakable spark that made her one-of-a-kind. To know Peggy was to know joy, laughter, and just a little bit of sass. She was truly a character! Quick with a witty remark, full of personality, and never afraid to speak her mind. Whether she was making someone laugh with her sharp humor or offering a shoulder to lean on, Peggy had a way of making everyone feel like family.

Above all else, Peggy loved her family fiercely. She found joy in the simple, everyday moments, a home cooked meal shared around the kitchen table, the sound of children’s laughter, and time spent with the people she loved most. She had a way of making a house feel like a home, and her presence brought comfort, strength and so much love.

She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength and a whole lot of memorable stories. Her absence will be deeply felt, but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

She is survived by two sons, Chris L. Pavlick of Wenona and Earl W. Pavlick of Bloomington; two daughters, Marie “Sue” B. Salisbury of Oglesby and Donna “Jeannie” J Bermudez of Naperville; one brother, William Kudrick of Bloomington; six sisters, Sandy Greenwood, Sharon Boyer of Peoria, Jacquelynn (Doug) Linsley of Peoria, Mary “Missy” (Terry) Glenn of Magnolia, Carlene Kudrick of Champaign and Tina Huck of Avon, IN; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her humor, love and strength with pride and gratitude.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, one sister, Judy Anderson; one nephew, Greg L. Tuley; son-in-law, Charles “Chuck” Salisbury, Jr and step-father Clarence Kudrick.

A celebration of Peggy’s life will be held at a later date where friends and family are welcome to attend and share their memories of a woman who was truly unforgettable.

Peggy’s wish was to donate her body to Science in hopes that she could help others.
