Raymond E. Hafley Jr.

Raymond E. Hafley Jr., 71, of Bureau, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at O.S.F. Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel 208 S. McCoy St. Granville. A celebration of life will be at 1:00 p.m., following the visitation at the funeral home. Pastor David Jungnickel will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Raymond was born on October 21, 1952 in Spring Valley to Raymond E. and Rita (Cummings) Hafley Sr. He married Debbie Michael. She preceded him in death in 2003.

Ray graduated from Putnam County High School. He worked in maintenance for American Nickeloid for 40+ years and retired in 2014. Ray volunteered with many groups and organizations, including the Bureau Fire Department for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a proud Eagle Scout.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicki (Edward) Harris of Bureau and Amanda (Mike) Stewart of Princeton; four sisters, Ruth, Rita, Barb, and Delores; six grandchildren, Michelle (Jacob) Aden, Courtney Harris, Alyssa, Lincoln, Abby, and Natalie Stewart; and nephew Tommy Lucas amongst numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bob Hafley and Rich Hafley.
