Raymond “Ray” Ragogna, 87, of Mark passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022 at Manor Court Liberty Village, Peru.
The family will have a private Mass of Christian Burial. Fr. Patrick DeMeulemeester will officiate. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Granville with full military honors.
Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
Ray was born on June 3, 1934 in Mark to Victor and Margaret (Fervier) Ragogna. He married Mary Ann (Nevicosi) on July 14, 1956 in Dalzell.
Ray was drafted to the Chicago White Sox right out of high school and had a great love of baseball his entire life.
Ray served in the United States Army. He worked at Electrical Utilities Company in LaSalle and also worked on the pickle line at LTV Steel in Hennepin until his retirement.
Ray was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Granville.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Ragogna of Mark; one son, Mark (Stacy) Ragogna of Colorado; two daughters, Vicki (Gene) Gensini of McNabb and Tina (Randi) Naumann of Oglesby, one brother, Donald Ragogna of Athens, Georgia; five grandchildren, Victor (Jenna) Gensini, Maria (Tony) Miller, Doug, Gina and Taylor Naumann; four great-grandchildren, Ethan and Evan Miller and Antonio and Giovanni Gensini.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-grandson, Angelo Gensini.
