Rita Ann Kilter, 59, of Granville, passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Cabin Livin Senior Care, Hennepin. She had been diagnosed with Frontotemporal Dementia. Rita was born on December 17, 1953 in Springfield to Richard (Dick) and Leora (Lee) (Lanham) Watson. She married Bruce Kilter on February 13, 1985. Rita had a passion and a love for children and animals. She was a caregiver for many children over the years and was a long time volunteer for Illinois Valley Animal Rescue. Rita was an active member at De Pue United Church of Christ who held strong to her faith in God. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who put her family above all else. Survivors are her husband, Bruce Kilter, one daughter, Elizabeth Kilter, one grandson, Dylan Kilter all of Granville; two sisters, Linda Gueldner and Bonnie Gravetti. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard (Dick) Watson and Leora (Lee) (Lanham) Watson, two brothers, Ronald (Ronnie) Watson and James (Jimmy) Watson. Service/Memorial Information
A private service for family and invited friends will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at De Pue United Church of Christ. Paster bSue Graham will officiate, Cremation rites have been accorded. Dysart-Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with arrangements.
