Robert C. Myers

Robert C. Myers, 87, of Hennepin passed away on August 10, 2022 at Heritage Health, Chillicothe.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Cremation rites have been accorded.

Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

Bob was born on August 24, 1934 in Clinton to Herman and Evelyn (Lamson) Myers.  He married Patricia Robertson on January 12, 1957 in Peoria. 

Bob graduated from Clinton High School and attended the University of Illinois.  He served in the United States Army.

Bob was an engineer at Exelon/ESK plant in Hennepin.

He was active member of the Putnam County Ambulance Service and served on the Village of Hennepin Board.  He was awarded the Citizen of the year award in 2011.  Bob was an amateur radio operator and helped with the Putnam County Emergency Management in the area of communications.  He also did volunteer work for the “Wetlands” initiative.

He is survived by one son, Robert Kurt (YoungHe) Myers of Hoffman Estates; one daughter, Karen (Dennis) Bishop of Peoria; four grandchildren, Christina and Sean Myers and Katrina and Andrea Bishop.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia Myers on November 4, 2021 and one sister, Janet Walser.
