Robert Lee Stanard, 78, of Granville died on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at his residence.
There will be a private gathering at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Burial will be in the Lamoille Cemetery, in Lamoille with military honors.
Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
Robert was born on February 25, 1941 in Mendota to Ralph and Agatha Stanard. He married Drusilla McDaniels on December 31, 1979 in Peoria. She passed away on August 20, 2017.
He attended Barber College and served in the United States Navy. Robert worked at the Hennepin Steel Plant where he was a millwright for 37 years.
Robert was a former member of the United Steel Workers Union in Hennepin. He enjoyed watching High School and College sports and enjoyed his animals. Fishing in Minnesota was a big part of his life.
Survivors include his son Erick (Julie) Knickerbocker of Princeton, mother-in-law, Bernadine Nolan of Peoria, brother, Randy Stanard of NV, three sisters, Rosie Wallace and Carol James of Walnut and five grandchildren, Christian, Brandon, Jacob, Isaac and Joseph.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Drusilla and one son John in 1982.
