Shirley M. Casey

Shirley M. Casey, 93, of Hennepin, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Liberty Village Manor Court, Princeton. Shirley was born on February 24, 1920 in rural Hennepin to William and Ethel (Clemens) Seibert. She married Donald Casey on December 12, 1938 in Hennepin. She was a homemaker and a member of Shooting Park Road Baptist Church. She was an avid reader, liked to crochet, work puzzles, and was a huge Cub fan. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loving selfless nature and will be missed greatly. Survivors are one son, Donald (Vicki) Casey of Oglesby; three daughters, Marjorie (Don) Skutt of Tiskilwa, Judith Casey of LaSalle and Diana (Rodger) Brandstatter of Hennepin; ten grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald who died Sept. 18, 2001, son William, daughter Beverly, granddaughter Celeste, eight sisters and four brothers. Pallbearers will be Randy Dean, Ross Brandstatter, Dean Casey, Donald Skutt, Darren Casey and Rodger Brandstatter. Contributions may be made to the family or donor's choice.

Service/Memorial Information

Service will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. Rev. Gary McKee will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Hennepin. Visitation will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.
