Stanley Shevokas Jr.

Stanley Shevokas Jr., 93, of Granville passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at Henry Rehab, Henry, IL.

Private visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at  Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel Granville, IL. There will be a private service to follow at 10:00 a.m.  Pastor Karen Karczewski will officiate.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Granville.

Stanley was born on June 8, 1932 in rural Hennepin to Stanley and Ursella (Skutt) Shevokas.  He married Delores Ellena on October 18, 1952.  She preceded him in death on February 12, 2018 after celebrating 65 years of marriage.

He was an operator and engineer for Local #150 and farmed his whole life.  Stanley enjoyed boating and fishing.  He loved his dog (Murphy).

Survivors include one son, Stanley Joseph (Patty) Shevokas III of Hennepin: one daughter, Susan (Floyd) Holocker of Granville; eight grandchildren, Aaron, Erica, Floyd “BJ”, Elizabeth, Amanda, Stan IV, Ben and Brianna; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; seven siblings, Eileen, Della, John, Margaret, Ed, Shirley and Pat.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Putnam County Community Center or the donor’s choice.

Pallbearers will be Steve Pokinghorne, Ryan Clark, August Pokinghorne, Aaron Holocker, BJ Holocker, Enzo Holocker and Maverik Holocker.
