Steven J. Kendall

Steven J. Kendall, 59, of Granville passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Presence St. Joseph's Hospital, Elgin. Steven was born on October 5, 1953 in Fort Payne, Alabama to James Boyd and Juanita Imogene (Wooten) Kendall. He married Mary Wadman on January 2, 1988 in Hoffman Estates, IL. He attended Illinois Valley Community College and received two associate degrees. He served in the United States Army. He was an entrepreneur and was self employed. Surviving is his wife, Mary Kendall of Granville, IL; one son, John Kendall of East Peoria, IL and one sister, Cynthia Jodoin, Tammy Bradley, Stacie Sanford, Rachel Crane of Fort Payne, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to the family to be distributed to various organizations.

Service/Memorial Information

Memorial service will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at United Church of Christ, Granville. Rev. Dr. Ron McNeill will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at United Church of Christ, Granville. Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements. An additional funeral service will be held in Fort Payne, Alabama Funeral will be at Grace Chapel Baptist Church on June 8, 2013. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and internment will be at the Town Creek Cemetery at 3 p.m.
