Steven W. Siemers, age 61 of Hennepin passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. Pastor Karczewski will offer a time of sharing at 4:00 p.m. Cremation rites have been accorded.
Steve was born on December 13, 1958 in Spring Valley to Walt and June (McCollem) Siemers. He married Kathleen Kostellic on September 22, 1989 in Granville.
He attended Putnam County and LP High School. Steve worked for Hennepin Boat Store and was also a driver/operator for Humpty Dump Dumpster Services. He previously owned and operated Steve’s Amoco Station in Granville for 25 years.
Steve enjoyed being with family, friends, and traveling. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. Steve was a gentle, loving, hard working, giving man and was loved by many.
Survivors include his wife Kathy Siemers of Hennepin; one daughter, Alexis (Gary) Boggio, two grandchildren, Bella and Landon of Hennepin; four sisters, Mary Chua of Batavia, NY, Bess Moore of Granville, June Ehrler of Sycamore and Wanda Fetzer of Triumph.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathleen in infancy, two nephews Mike and Max and one son, Gabe Zorzi.
