Theodore "Ted" Dannis

Theodore Paul "Ted" Dannis, 76, of rural Granville, IL, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley, IL. Ted was born on December 17, 1936 in Chicago, IL the son of James and Lillian (Kelly) Dannis. He graduated from Hyde Park High School. He married Janice Cunningham on June 9, 1962 in St. Francis DePaul Catholic Church in Chicago. Ted is survived by his wife Janice, one daughter Lillian and her husband Kevin Kazmierczak of McNabb, IL and three sons, Christopher formally of Davenport and recently moved to Granville, IL, Peter of Granville and Todd and his wife Angela of Arlington, IL. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Zachary, Kate, John Kazmierczak and Amber and Bret Dannis. Ted worked as a Pressman for the Chicago Sun Times Newspaper for 48 years retiring in 1999. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of the Moose Lodge and the Graphic Arts Communication Union Local #7 in Chicago. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one brother Jim, and one sister, Nancy and Esther Lyons.

Service/Memorial Information

The Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville is assisting the family; per his request cremation rites were accorded. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on July 20, 2013 at the Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel in Granville. Visitation will be from 11 to 2 on July 20, 2013.
