Thomas H. Engel

Thomas H. Engel, 63, of Granville died on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Thomas was born on February 8, 1951 in Peru to Clarence John and Mabel (Easterhild) Engel. He married Charlene Curatolo on August 23, 1986 in Peru. He graduated from LaSalle-Peru High School in 1969 and attended Illinois Valley Community College and received his associate's degree in business in 1971. He worked for John Deere Implement in Sheridan and Mosbach Farms. He also worked for Triumph Co-op for 21 years and was a truck driver for Double D Express in Peru. Thomas was on the Peru Fire Department for 15 years (Liberty Company #1) and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Peru. Survivors are his wife, Charlene Engel of Granville; three sons, Jeremy (Kim) Engel of Hennepin, Nathan Thompson of LaSalle and Timothy Thompson of Granville; three grandchildren, Nathan Daniel Engel Jr., Rylee Thomas Engel, and Shaylee Ann Engel. Service/Memorial Information

Service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville. Rev. Timothy Kenyon will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.
