Tyrone Nelson Dowd

Tyrone N. Dowd, 62, of Magnolia passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at OSF Health Care, Peoria with his daughter by his side.

The family will have a celebration of life in February, details to follow.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Dysart – Cofoid Funeral Chapel will be assisting the family with the arrangements.

Tyrone was born on February 4, 1962 in Spring Valley to Nelson Lee Dowd and Mary Lou (Thiel) Reaska. 

After graduating from high school he attended college.  He did auto body work at Fender Menders for over 15 years.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter who spent his vacations in Wisconsin fishing with his best friends.

He was a wonderful papa and enjoyed to watch scary movies with them when they visited.

Survivors include step-father, Dale Reaska; two sons, Dylan Dowd and Zach Dowd of Chicago; one daughter, Tyler (Brad Anderson) Dowd of Carterville; one brother, Scott Reaska of Plainfield; two grandchildren, Jessie and Lilly.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
