William G. Thomas

William G. Thomas, 87, of Peru passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Manor Court, Peru.

Private Service will be at Dysart - Cofoid Funeral Chapel, Granville.  Dean Tieman will officiate.  Burial will be in Peru City Cemetery.

William was born on May 28, 1937 in Spring Valley to William R. and Elsie (Farnheim) Thomas.  He married Colette Hoscheid on October 13, 1961, she passed away on February 26, 1992.  His second marriage was to Shirley Sajnaj on June 9, 1997, she also preceded him in death on June 14, 2023.

He graduated from LaSalle - Peru High School in the class of 1955.   He worked at Westclox in the tool and dye school in the tool room.  He drove a truck for Tobler Trucking until he started his flooring installation business.

He was a member of St. John's 13 Masonic Lodge in Peru, IL, Scottish Rite Valley of Peoria, IL and Mohammed Shrine in Bartonville, IL   

Survivors include grandson, Scott Sims, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his two wives.
