Yolanda Popara

Yolanda Popara, 93, of Elk Grove, California died on January 2, 2014 in Elk Grove, California. She was born on July 6, 1920 to Nazareno and Marjorena (Capra) Mecozzi. She worked at Denler's grocery store in Peru until she retired. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elk Grove, California. She is survived by one daughter, Roberta Popara; two brothers, Walter (Kathleen) Mecozzi and Jerry (Gerene) Mecozzi and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mary Schmoeger and Lucy in childhood and one brother, Albert Mecozzi.

Service/Memorial Information

Service will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elk Grove, California. Visitation will be from 11a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elk Grove, California. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Hennepin, IL.
